A minor set back

Pop had a “mini” set back with week.

He was discharged from the nursing home on Sunday, November 1st.

We saw the doctor at Fox Chase on Wednesday. They told Pop that if his cancer markers (blood test) were low and he had no further infection, he could take a month off and go to Florida as he’s wanted to do.

Well, the blood culture test showed that he had an infection and indeed his cancer marker count was very elevated. The elevated cancer count was not a surprise since he hasn’t received chemo for over a month.

The doctors at Fox Chase talked him out of taking a month off and suggested that he resume chemo therapy right away.

He was admitted to Fox Chase for a couple of days (Friday through Sunday) for intense antibiotics. He was discharged today. Roxane and I brought him home from the hospital. He was in really good spirits and is ready to begin chemo again. He resumes chemo this week.
