December 18, 2007- Update on Gilberto

Pop went for a follow up appointment today at Fox Chase.

The doctors told us that Pop’s tumors continue to grow slightly. They said that compared to last month they grew minimally. However, compared to last year, they have grown significantly. Slowly but steady.

Therefore, they will increase the dosage and frequency of his chemo therapy.
He continues to receive magnesium IV infusions at home twice a week. The magnesium increases his blood pressure so they also began him on a blood pressure pill.

Pop remains in great spirits since he has no symptoms at all. The doctors remained very pleased with Pop’s response to the treatments so far. He has exceeded their expectations.

Pop is looking forward to spending another Christmas party with his kids and his nieces and nephews at Chati & Dee’s house on Sunday.
