The latest CT scan results are in-

Jim & I accompanied Pop to his appointment today. After reviewing the results of his recent CT scan, the doctors told us that there is “no change”. The lung tumors have not grown and there is no new growth. He (the doctor) was very encouraged by this news. This is a good response to the current treatment.

Pop will continue to receive the same chemotherapy every two weeks. He will again have a CT scan in July to continue to monitor the progression of his disease.

Pop has been tolerating the chemo very well. He is tired of the drive to Fox Chase every two weeks but understands the necessity for it.

Thanks to those who keep in touch with our dad.

Gilbert's Boys & Achote

This picture was taken near our home at 18 Wood Street (Lansdale, PA). While I don’t remember who that kid was with us when we took that picture, I think my Dad gave him the nickname “Achote” (because of his red hair). Who knows, he may be a professional baseball player today . . . but I doubt it. He didn’t have what it took to be on the Lansdale Stars.

Pop's "second" favorite thing to do

Singing….yeap, that’s Pop’s “second” favorite thing to do. Since this is family friendly blogsite, I won’t tell you what his probable “first” favorite thing to do. I suspect that those who know Pop can figure it out.

Anyway, Pop went to the recording studio to record another Mariachi style CD. He loves doing this! I hope to share the new CD with anyone who’s interested in the near future.

As far as Pop’s medical condition; here’s the latest:

Pop has been continuing to receive chemo therapy the last several moths. He is scheduled for a follow-up CT scan on Friday, March 23rd. He has an appointment to discuss the results on Tuesday, March 27th. At this time, we’ll know the status of his lung tumors. I’ll keep you all posted once we receive results.
