Basball Memories
A friend of mine came across this picture and said to me, “Hey, Tom! It’s a picture of your dad!”
Years ago, Pop was playing softball with us when a disagreement happened on the field and Pop walked out to see what was going on. Being the passionate man that he is (about baseball and especially his boys), Pop didn’t bother to put the bat down when he charged the field. Unfortunately the other players saw Pop as an angry man ready to take a swing at someone.
It’s nice to know Pop has left a lasting impression on so many people. (This probably happened twenty years ago.) He continues to leave a lasting impression on all of us. Some good, some not-so-good. So if you get a minute, give him a call and remind him of a good memory you had with him. Just try not to do it during a Phillies game. They’re in first place and Pop doesn’t miss a game.
