Laser brochoscopy

Pop had been feeling progressively more short of breath.
The doctors confirmed that his lung tumor was blocking his lower airway.
Today he had a laser bronchoscopy.
It was a non-surgical procedure where the put a tube down his throat and enter his lungs with a fiberoptic scope.
They were able to laser and shrink his tumor a great deal.
He tolerated the procedure well.
He actually said that he feels like he can breathe better.
He is home resting.
Thanks to Patti and Tom for taking him to his procedure today.

Ron- while working side by side with Dr. Driver assisting w/a bronch recently, we talked about this exact procedure. He said he has performed these and the patients that are lucky enough to be able to have this done, find remarkable results. Quality of life is enhanced and it can change the disease by years......congrats to your dad (or shall I try in spanish ....soy feliz para su papa)!! Carolyn
